The aim of each one is to present the maths in a way that's genuinely intriguing, rather than handing over steps to memorise.
Why animate it
Most students can follow a method and can't say why it works. That's enough for the routine questions and it comes apart on the ones carrying the marks, because those are testing whether the idea landed or the steps were memorised.
Maths also comes alive when you can see it. Almost all of it is taught and studied on paper, which is the right tool for practising problem solving and a poor one for understanding — a drawing on a page can't move, and plenty of the ideas students get stuck on are processes rather than pictures. Why Integration Works, above, is the clearest example I have: a topic that only really lands once you can watch it happen.

Tutoring
I tutor 11+ and SATs, GCSE, A-level, and undergraduate maths — any exam board. I take a small number of students so I can prepare properly for each one. Online anywhere, and in person around north London and Hertfordshire on weekday evenings and at weekends. Central London is weekday evenings only.
£60 an hour online, £75 in person. Before booking anything we have a short call, no charge, so I understand what's needed and you can decide whether I'm the right person for it.
